MORE THAN A GAME.

Baseball is more than a game. It builds strength of character that empowers players through a lifetime of new challenges.

1. Develop Life Skills

Setting attainable goals, overcoming challenges, and learning techniques to manage thoughts and emotions – these skills are learned through sports, but more importantly, they can be applied to other areas of life.

2. Develop Core Values

Coaches guide players to understand and develop core values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment.

3. Take Ownership of Their Learning

Coaches help players seek challenging tasks and push themselves to develop new skills. The goal is for young people to become their best coaches – whether on the field, at school, at home, or in life.

4. Empowered to Make Healthy Choices

Physical activity helps develop healthy bones, joints, and muscles and prevent obesity. Coaches emphasize making healthy choices by eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising.

5. Strengthen Interpersonal Skills

Being involved in sports can help build a player’s self-confidence and social interactions. Coaches model and encourage youth to appreciate diversity and show respect to themselves, teammates, and fellow competitors.
